After a childhood in Idaho, school in New England, and now as a husband, father, full-time public health professional, and musician in DC, Mark's songwriting is as eclectic as his life. Mark LOVES his guitars...both as works of art and as tools for creating something from nothing. His two main guitars include his Kevin Ryan Nightingale and his Baritone beauty made by Tony Vines. You're sure to see at least one of these at a performance. Other guitars he frequently plays is his Collings semi-hollowbody I-35 and OMC1. He uses McIntyre Feather pickups on all of his acoustics and loves the sound he gets out of his Pendulum SPS-1 preamp. Yep...he's a gear junkie.
